Looking for Fall Color - Try Ohio
As we travel across the Ohio and Pennsylvania turnpikes on our way to Annapolis this week, the incredible scenery gives us a greater appreciation of the journey as well as the destination. The trees are just starting to turn glorious shades of yellow, orange and red. They are even more stunning with highlights of the ones that are still green and the pines growing among them.
The colors and timing depend upon elevation, weather and species. If you are not travelling east, check out the scenery along the roads in your neighborhood and local drives. We also notice that Routes 422 and 82 have some stunning colors. Some trees are yet to change, but don’t wait too long. Heavy rains and winds can lessen this window of opportunity.
You can also see the scenes of harvest time, such as: hayrides, hay harvest, soybean harvests, the last days of summer flowers and the last days of pumpkins and other vegetables.
